Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Board of Directors, the facility manager plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the operations of the organizations facility and programs.
  • The facility manager is responsible for people management, the strategic development with Board assistance, decision-making and financial management.
  • Staff development and customer service are other key responsibilities.
  • Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the manager will oversee day to day operations and achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.
  • The Board looks to the Manager to provide initiative, leadership, and strategic vision within the organization.


Qualifications

  • A university degree in recreation management, physical education, sports administration or a related field or a college diploma in recreation management or sports administration combined with experience
  • Several years of experience in an occupation related to recreation and sports administration, including consulting and/or programming
  • NCCP level 2 women’s and trampoline certified, preferred but not limited to
  • Respect in sport certification
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational abilities with attention to detail and the ability to articulate a vision
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development of polies and plans in support of programing, special events and fundraising/sponsorships
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills with a strong track record of creating healthy workplaces with engaged and motivated staff
  • Proven human resource, financial management and administration skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service and dealing effectively with a diverse group of members
  • Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software (word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, publisher)
  • Criminal record check, vulnerable sector record
  • Valid first aid

Additional Information:

  1. Norfort Gymnastics Association offers competitive wages and is offering $28.50-$32.00 per hour dependant on education and years experience.
  2. The manager position will consist of approximately 20-40 hours per week.
