Information & Communications Technology Department
This is a permanent, full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.
Under general supervision, plan, direct and coordinate all the informatics training activities for the organization. This includes analyzing the training requirements of the organization to determine how to modify or improve the use of existing or new systems. As well, develop and deliver training programs related to the use of desk-top technology and specialized training programs for selected participants engaged in the use of the numerous new business processes and software.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) year diploma program in Computer Information Systems from a recognized Institute of Technology.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Project Management, Office and Visio software.
- Five (5) years directly related experience in an integrated information technologies environment to include three (3) years experience in IT training with a business and technical background.
- Previous Municipal experience is an asset.
- Above average listening, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communications skills.
- Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision to meet difficult deadlines in a fast paced environment is required.
- Proven project management skills and a detail oriented work style are required.
- Proven ability to communicate clear and consistent information to technical and non-technical individuals is required.
- Salary $35.33 (Probationary rate)
- $38.77 – $41.56 (Permanent rates)
