Public Works Department
This is a temporary position working forty (40) hours per week ten (10) hour shifts with an approximate end date of November 28, 2008.
 
With some independence perform general labourer duties in the repair and maintenance of the Municipal water/sewer underground systems for collection and supply of water and wastewater.
 
Qualifications:
 

• Grade ten (10) or equivalent is required.
• Class five (5) Alberta Driver’s license is required.
• Class five (5) Alberta Driver’s license with a Q brake endorsement is a preferred asset.
• Class three (3) Alberta Driver’s license with a Q brake endorsement is an asset.
• Previous directly related experience in water/sewer underground systems
• maintenance is required.
• Pipe-laying experience is an asset.
• Ability to understand and perform oral and written instructions.
• Ability to learn or knowledge of safety precautions, procedures, methods, and techniques employed in the industry.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labour for extended periods of time under various weather conditions.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in an extremely unsanitary environment at times.
• Safety boots and safety glasses required.
• Salary $24.55 (Temporary Rate)
