Job Description


  1. Perform and report visual inspections as outlined in the WD & prepare clear and accurate reports.
  2. Ensure the project I.T.P is followed and all sign offs are completed where required.
  3. Perform and report dimensional control inspections and reporting as required in the WD
  4. Perform and record material verification as required.
  5. Record and report all non-conformances as detailed by the Quality Assurance System and procedures.
  6. Clear understanding of contractual quality obligation, standards, procedures, specifications and tolerances for all work in process.
  7. Perform and report on all incoming inspection of materials received as required by the Quality Assurance System and WD ITP.
  8. Perform and report all final inspections as per the Quality Assurance System and the WD
  9. Participate in the investigation of non-conformances and corrective action resolution as required.
  10. Inspect and verify the completion of all punch list items.
  11. Upon completion of inspections, advise production personnel of results.
  12. Timely compiling of all required quality documents for job files and turnover packages to meet the construction schedule.
  13. Assist in craftsmen training with regard to Quality requirements.
  14. Participate in internal audits & external quality audits.
  15. Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and user groups that reflect and support core company values.
  16. Actively participate in company safety procedures and programs, correct unsafe work practices and situations, follow reporting protocols for any violations, and participate in the Hazard identification process.

  • A minimum of 5 years of Oil & Gas / Industrial experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a quality inspector in E & I environment.
  • Journeyman Electrician in Alberta or Red Seal
  • Knowledgeable of electrical installations including materials, methods, specifications and hazardous location identifications.
  • Ability to understand work related documentation; electrical drawings, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Sound knowledge of all testing processes used in the industry and the Canadian Electrical Code. 
  • Drivers license and clean abstract required.
