Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Obtain and review historical records of previously executed work. Use the lessons learned to create new plans that are more cost and time efficient.
  2. Perform field inspections and determine the appropriate job work scopes
  3. From work requests and requirements, develop the scope of a preliminary step listing
  4. Create complete work packages including equipment data, job step plans, estimates, all required supporting documents, required spare parts, etc.
  5. Monitor and maintain a continual update of the work requirements and requests, paying special attention to Contracts/Projects being run simultaneously or in conjunction with the current work. Monitor and point out items which could be potentially problematic with regard to execution and progress
  6. Assist in the development of the planned schedule using Primavera (P6) from which progress and completion requirements can be determined
  7. Assist in the provision of printouts of preliminary schedules and reports for Management review meetings
  8. Review work scope change requests prior to their introduction into the proposed schedule, and projects impact
  9. In conjunction with the Turnaround, Maintenance and Operations Group, determine critical-path items and milestones
  10. Identify replacement and spare-part requirements for equipment, and prepare the requisitioning documentation
  11. In addition to the planning, execution of the scope of work may be required as well

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' experience in Maintenance planning
  • Experience with planning systems (SAP, Primavera, MS Project, MS Excel)
  • Hands on SAP R3 Plant Maintenance or other CMMS system experience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise at all levels with Client and team members.
  • Competent computer skills, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Team player to deliver desired outcomes.
  • Relevant Post-Secondary education (college or university), such as a related vocational or technical school program/diploma
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset
  • P. Eng is an asset
  • Journeyman ticket in mechanical trade is an asset
