Community Services Department
This is a permanent, full-time position working forty (40) hours per week.
Under general supervision, responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and restoration of all turfed areas. Responsible for day-to-day upkeep of sports fields to meet needs of user groups.
Qualifications:
- Grade twelve (12) education or GED.
- Turfgrass Management Diploma. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum two (2) years experience in a similar position or related field such as landscaping, yard maintenance, or golf course.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems.
- Landscape pesticide applicator’s licence.
- Current First Aid/CPR an asset.
- Valid class five (5) Alberta driver’s license.
- Ability to operate equipment such as aerator, top dresser, seeder, backhoe, and tractor to perform all necessary duties.
- Must be medically and physically fit.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of computer applications (word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Criminal Record Check
- Salary $29.84 (Probationary rate)
- $32.66 - $34.96 (Permanent rates)
