Position Description:
|
Working within a dynamic branch, you will be a critical part of a collaborative team tasked with enhancing the design and aesthetics standards for municipal workspace. You will be working with an experienced team that serves as a critical link between municipal staff and successful, functional workspace in both the rural and urban municipal offices. Your primary mandate will be to develop and implement all staff space moves at various scales. This role will involve an extensive degree of interaction with various municipal departments and external contractors to facilitate the co-ordination and implementation of all successful moves.
Under the general direction of the Supervisor of Accommodation Planning, the Accommodations Space Coordinator is responsible for developing moving plans, analyzing future space requirements and keeping an accurate record of office space inventory within all buildings used by the municipality staff. In addition, the Accommodations Space Coordinator is responsible to implement and maintain the Facilities Management Software ensuring corporate office needs are met for future growth.
Duties to include: meet with staff, contractors and internal support departments to co-ordinate all internal staff space moves (large and small scale); analyze future space requirements and keep accurate records of office space inventory within all buildings utilized by municipal staff (both urban and rural);
assist team with space management projects (both new construction and renovation planning); and
assist team with development, implementation and maintenance of corporate workspace standards including all aesthetic components of workspace.
It should also be noted that due to the nature of certain aspects of this job (i.e. staff space moves) this position will require, when necessary, attendance during all such ‘after hours’ moves.

Qualifications:
|
· Two (2) year diploma in Project or Facilities management, architectural design or a diploma in a related field is required.
· Two (2) years directly related work experience working with AutoCAD software is required.
· Knowledge of Facilities Management software is an asset.
· Previous experience coordinating large scale personnel moving projects is considered an asset.
· High degree of accuracy and good grammar is required.
· Ability to implement and use spreadsheets and databases is required.
· Ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive and confidential information, communicate tactfully, clearly and effectively, both on the phone and in person.
· Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task on a daily basis.
· Strong communication, organizational & interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of lease agreements.
· Alberta Class five (5) driver’s license and personal vehicle for business use are required.

Salary Range:
|
$35.19 (2010 Probationary Rate)
$38.55 – $41.29 (2010 Permanent Rates)
|
