Position Type/ Hours:
|
This is a relief position working forty (40) hours per week for approximately three (3) months.
|
|
Position Description:
|
Under general supervision take a lead role in improving operations standards, safe driving habits and operator skills through the development, delivery and maintenance of various training programs and demonstrations in regard to vehicle and equipment operation and safety to adult students. Develop course outline, maintain student documents and records and other related instructional duties. Compile statistical data, prepare reports, monitor and identify industry’s current and future training needs.

Qualifications:
|
· Grade twelve (12) or equivalent, successful completion of a recognized Train the Trainer course and a recognized Equipment Operation and Maintenance Certification program.
· Possession of Driver Training Instructor certification for Class one (1) Driver’s License, and air brake endorsement.
· Four (4) years driver/operator instructional experience in an adult environment.
· Experience with computer applications including Microsoft Office is required.
· Previous Municipal experience is an asset.
· Demonstrated research, analytical and communication skills both written and verbal are essential.
· Proven ability to formalize, prepare and present technical and training manual statistical reports is required.
· A valid Class one (1) An Alberta Driver’s license with air brake endorsement is required. A clear driving record is an asset.
· Must have personal vehicle for business use.
· Considerable knowledge of provincial labour and safety legislation.
· Will be required occasionally to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Must be medically and physically fit to perform all of the duties of the position.
