Position Type/ Hours:

These are permanent full-time positions working forty (40) hours per week.
|
|
Position Description:
|
Under general supervision, operate recycling equipment such as, crusher, conveyors, loaders, hydraulic fork lift, and etc., as well as perform labourious duties involved in the collection and sorting of recycling items.
|
|
Qualifications:
|
· Grade 10 or equivalent is a requirement.
· Class Five (5) Alberta Driver’s License is required and Q Endorsement is preferred.
· Landfill Certification is preferred.
· One (1) year experience in operating equipment associated with Landfill/Recycling programs such as, crushers, conveyors, loaders, hydraulic fork lifts, etc. is required.
· Must have a knowledge working with hazardous waste materials (paint, thinner, coolant, acid, etc.)
· Working knowledge of proper safety procedures.
· Must be medically and physically able to perform all of the duties of the position.
· Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in an extremely unsanitary environment at times.
· Must be willing to acquire environmental certification, as required.
· Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

$29.80 (Probationary Rate)
$32.59 – $34.80 (Permanent Rates)
|
