Job Description

Position Type/ Hours:
This is a permanent full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.
 
 
Position Description:
Under general supervision, serve as a GIS resource for spatial data processing, thematic mapping, database management, data collection and output, and systems research and development.
 
Qualifications:
·          Two (2) year Diploma in Geographic Information Systems technology from a recognized, post-secondary institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
·          Two (2) years related experience in the use of GIS, including spatial data processing, thematic mapping, database management and knowledge of relevant software tools.
·          Experience in an urban or municipal government with GeoMedia Professional GIS and AutoCAD is an asset.
·          Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing environment.
·          Knowledge of GIS-based Internet applications.
·          Proficiency in use of the Internet and Internet search tools.
 
Pay / Classification Level:
PL 16
 
 
 
Salary Range:
$36.41 (Probationary Rate)                                                                                                                                    
$39.90 - $42.75 (Permanent Rates)
