This is a permanent full-time position working thirty-five (35) hours per week.

Position Description:
|
Reporting to the Manager of Current Planning & Development, you will have a variety of challenging
responsibilities. You will:
· Negotiate and manage subdivision and development agreement related issues.
· Co-ordinate, analyse and prepare recommendations relative to Subdivision matters.
· Participates in the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, measures, outcomes and prepare related reports.
· Recommend and implement measures for improving subdivision services and processes
· Responsible for timely decisions and approvals.
· Participate in the development of statutory plans/bylaws.
· Manage the resources e.g., human resources, financial, and other within the division.
· Supervise the daily operations of the Subdivision and Development Agreements Function.
· Participate in the development and implementation of business plans and operational budgets.
· Review and make appropriate changes to all pertinent reports prior to submission to the superintendent.
· Develop, maintain and monitor public consultation processes relative to the Subdivision application process.
· Supervise the daily operations related to this function.
· Consult with and inform the public, community groups, developers and other stakeholders
· Participate in the development and implementation of public notification processes.
· Receive customer queries related to this function and determine appropriate response.

Qualifications:
|
You will possess an Undergraduate degree in related field or combination of relevant education and experience along with five (5) years of related experience, minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. Membership of Canadian Institute of Planners is preferred. You have above average analytical, leadership, communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills. An Alberta Class five (5) Driver’s License is required. You may be required to attend evening meetings plus other meetings if required.

Salary Range:
|
$93,543 (Starting Range) - $119,365 (2010 Rates)
|
|
|
