Job Description
The Senior Manager, Northern Alberta Water and Wastewater Services is accountable for the performance of Operations and Maintenance functions of water and wastewater facilities in Northern Alberta. This includes ensuring regulatory and contract compliance, client and asset management, budgeting and forecasting and achieving the required outcomes. The Senior Manager, Northern Alberta Water and Wastewater Services is accountable to the Director, Water and Wastewater Services, Canada
The accountabilities of the Senior Manager, Northern Alberta Water and Wastewater Services include:
Provide input to the Water and Wastewater Services Canada plans, directions, and strategy throughout Northern Alberta Water and Wastewater Services, and ensure on-going effective positioning and appropriate relationships with other parties;
Develop, implement and review Water and Wastewater Services Canada business plan;
As the successful candidate you have a Degree in Engineering, Science or Business, 5+ years managing professional and unionized staff, experience with assessing, developing and implementing process improvement projects (technical and administrative), and are able to manage budgetary processes. You have the ability to effectively manage conflict and conflicting priorities, a demonstrated ability to utilize influence strategies to manage multiple stakeholder and client relationships, and are fully engaged in managerial work, making improvements on an ongoing basis. You seek opportunities to enhance personal effectiveness in both the business unit function and operational understanding and are a proactive business partner with a focus on developing and implementing win-win solutions for all stakeholders.
You have a thorough knowledge of water and wastewater operations and regulatory regimes.
You have the ability to provide input to the Water and Wastewater Services Canada plans, directions, and strategy throughout Northern Alberta Water and Wastewater Services, and ensure on-going effective positioning and appropriate relationships with other parties.
Industrial experience is preferred.
