Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Power Engineering Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Petrochemical industry
Type of Equipment: Low pressure boilers, High pressure boilers, Pumps, Diesel generators, Compressors, Motors, Switches, Valves, Gauges, Alarms, Meters, Pneumatic controls
Specific Skills: Operate automated or computerized control systems, Troubleshoot, perform corrective action or minor repairs as required, Perform routine equipment maintenance, Clean and lubricate machinery and components, Maintain daily log of operation, maintenance and safety activities, Assist in the development of operation, maintenance and safety procedures, Use computerized Preventive Maintenance System
Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Coordinate maintenance activities of trade contractors
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Oral communication, Working with others, Computer use, Continuous learning
