Our client is currently looking for a Solutions Technician for their Fort McMurray location.
Role:
- As a Solutions Technician, the incumbent will be involved with installing and maintaining systems that ensure facilities are safe, secure, comfortable and cost-efficient. Systems (critical) may include but are not limited to fire, security, energy management, building automation, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC),.
Job Dimensions:
- Start-up and commissioning of fire alarm and security systems on industrial sites;
- Duties include installation and commissioning of application programs and troubleshooting both software and hardware problems;
- Works closely with installation electricians and project managers;
- Interface with consultants, contractors and owners.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation/Electronics/Computer/Communications Engineering or a similar field;
- Fire alarm and/or electrical experience preferred;
- Strong computer skills (both hardware and programming);
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills;
- General mechanical aptitude;
- Interpersonal skills required to work with various trades persons and owners.
